The fires started.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery and the Yaroslavl-3 oil refinery.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
According to it, on May 18, units of the Defense Forces struck the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the town of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region. A fire was recorded on the territory of the enterprise, the scale of damage is being specified.
The General Staff emphasized that Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. Its capacity is about 17 million tons of oil per year. The refinery produces gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, which is used to supply Russian occupation forces.
In addition, the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station, located near the village of Semibratovo, Yaroslavl Region, was hit on May 19. Information on the extent of damage is being clarified.
Earlier in the morning on May 19, Yaroslavl was attacked by drones.
