Commander of the Unmanned Systems Force of the AFU Robert "Madyar" Brovdy confirmed the strike on a warship of the Russian Baltic Fleet in Kronstadt, the website Charter97.org reported.
The ship in question is the Project 20380 corvette Boyky, the third corvette of the Russian Baltic Fleet. The ship was launched in 2011 and has been in the fleet since 2013.
According to Brovdi, the strike targeted the corvette, which had been undergoing routine repairs at the Veleshchinsky dry dock in Kronstadt since February 2026. This city in St. Petersburg is considered one of the main bases of the Russian Baltic Fleet and the "cradle" of the Russian Navy.
The Boiky corvette is known for participating in campaigns near NATO borders, as well as escorting vessels of the Russian "shadow fleet." Now the ship itself has found itself in the target zone of Ukrainian drones.
Madyar said the operation was carried out by units of the Unmanned Systems Force. The Russian corvette was hit by Ptits drones of the 1st separate SBS center.
Symbolically, the strike came exactly on Kronstadt, a place associated with the 1921 uprising of sailors against the Bolshevik dictatorship. Back then, the slogan was "Power to the Soviets, not to the parties!"
Today, Kronstadt has again become a symbol - but already of the vulnerability of the Russian Navy.
"And this is definitely in trend. The continuation follows," Madyar wrote.
Reminder that during the massive drone attack on Russia's Leningrad region, explosions were heard in Kronstadt, where the Baltic Fleet base is located. According to preliminary reports, one of the Russian warships was hit then. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky also claimed to have achieved "purely military objectives at the Kronstadt base."
