The Strait of Hormuz could be opened to shipping as early as tomorrow, U.S. President Donald Trump said during a meeting with reporters at the White House. The event is being broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the U.S. president’s office.

“It’s not very complicated: we’re talking about the [Strait of] Hormuz—about opening the strait literally by tomorrow. A complete reopening,” he said.

According to him, negotiations with Iran should proceed quickly, and once the Strait of Hormuz is reopened, the focus will shift to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear capabilities. Trump emphasized that Tehran now has a “last chance” to sign a “good agreement.”
