Media Reports: The KGB Carried Out Mass Detentions Of Officers At The Machulishchy Air Base

Among those detained are experienced pilots and colonels.
At the Machulishche Air Base, the KGB detained at least ten active-duty and former military personnel, including colonels, according to “Nasha Niva”. Security forces link them to former Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Zoria.
Those detained are former colleagues and acquaintances of Zorey, who served at the 50th Mixed Air Base in Machulishchy. They are currently being held in a KGB detention center. Most of them are pilots with extensive service records. The servicemen are suspected of having contact with Zorey.
However, the detainees reportedly deny that they intentionally passed any information on to Zorey. The military personnel were allegedly informed earlier that he was considered a “traitor” and were advised to cease contact with him. However, some former colleagues continued to communicate with him on general topics out of old acquaintance.
It is unknown exactly what charges have been brought against those detained. Presumably, the charges may involve “aiding extremist activities” or “treason,” but there is no confirmed information yet regarding the specific criminal charges.
News of Dmitry Zoria’s detention broke a few days ago. He is also being held in a KGB pretrial detention center.
Toward the end of his military career, Zoria held an administrative position at the airbase in Machulishchy, and after leaving the army, he moved to Poland. In September 2022, Alexander Lukashenko stripped him of his rank of lieutenant colonel.
After leaving Belarus, Zoria engaged in intelligence gathering and analytical work. There is no independent confirmation of this information.
In early 2026, Zorya suddenly disappeared from Poland. His last Instagram post was dated February 3. It is still unknown how he ended up in Belarus—most likely, he returned on his own.
