Putin Commented On The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Strikes On Russian Oil Refineries

The Russian dictator believes that "retaliatory strikes" will force Ukraine to stop its attacks.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has once again tried to convince people that the military operations against Ukraine allegedly do not harm the Russian economy in any way, and he called the strikes on Ukrainian territory a “response” to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian oil refineries.

He made this statement during a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

He stated that Russian companies have already joined the effort to protect the oil refineries, and “there are already results.”

“There is a second (method of countering attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces—ed.). To launch retaliatory strikes so that [they] won’t want to harm us. That’s all,” Putin threatened.

Putin also tried to convince those present that the night before last, Russian air defense forces had allegedly repelled all drone attacks on oil refineries—according to him, Ukrainian drones had attempted to attack three oil refineries. He also claimed that, allegedly, only 10% of the repair work at the refineries remains to be done.
