It never ceases to astound me that Russian armor, tanks and BMPs attack through completely open fields where opposing artillery, FPV drones and ATGM equipped infantry have clear views of their targets. I wonder what their casualty rates are?

In a similar debacle, the U-boat branch of the Kriegsmarine of the Nazis Navy had the highest fatality rate for any service in WW2. Over 75%!

It was especially gruesome from the 2nd half of 1943 on when U-boat losses were over 20 boats per month! The Allies employed air radar surveillance combined with breaking the Enigma code used to instruct U-boat captains. The U-boats became sitting ducks once detected. Much like today's Russian tanks.
