Today is birthday of political prisoner Syarhei Parsyukevich

Dozens of birthday cards have been sent into the remand prison in Zhodzina for Syarhei Parsyukevich, the political prisoner, by his friends and associates. The businessman turns 41 on May 14.
The action was organized by Parsyukevich’s associates, activists of “For Freedom” movement. Businessmen of Smalenski market in Vitsebsk where Syarhei had been heading the council for 2 years, took the family of the political prisoner under patronage. They decided to give financial assistance to them monthly.
As we have informed, Syarhei Parsyukevich was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a colony for alleged beating up a guard of Minsk remand prison Alyaksandr Dulub. The businessman hasn’t pleaded guilty. April 28 he sent an appeal from a judgement of the court of Maskouski district of Minsk to Minsk city court.
