Lukashenka’s nightmare

On the occasion of February 23, Defender of the Fatherland Day, the dictator has recalled everything: the sanctions, Gaddafi’s death, intrigues of the West.

“Political, economic and informational pressure in Belarus is becoming more and more massive, devious and persistent. Economic sanctions against our enterprises and visa bans on citizens are being imposed,” A. Lukashenka stated, making a speech at the reception held for top-ranking officers of the army and law enforcement agencies on Defender of the Fatherland Day.

As noted by the Belarusian dictator, “only the blind fails to see that encroachment upon our sovereignty has no chance to success.” A. Lukashenka has underlined that “analysis of the recent events in the country confirms reliability of the Belarusian socio-political and economic model of development.” “And the entire system of military organization of the country guarantees peaceful creative labour and stability to the nation,” A. Lukashenka noted.

As said by him, “these days, defence of fatherland is no more a prerogative of military men only.” The dictator has underlined that now “it is a cause for each and every one: an officer, a scientist, a businessman, a worker, a programmer, a person employed in agricultural undertakings.”

Lukashenka has also stated that the West is preparing to put into action a scenario of a violent regime change in Syria and Iran, as it had happened in Libya.

“With the help of all kind of political and informational technologies a forcible change of regime has been made in a number of countries of the Northern Africa. An open military involvement of the NATO in the internal affairs of sovereign Libya has caused a destruction of a once dynamically developing state. The West is ready to realize the same scenario in Syria, Iran and other countries,” A. Lukashenka stressed.
