Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine announces resignation

Being a member of the Radical Party faction, Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Valerii Voshchevskyi announced his decision to leave the government due to this political force pulling out of the coalition.

Leader of the Radical Party Oleh Liashko declared resignation of vice-prime minister on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada. Voshchevskyi obtained an appointment in the Cabinet under the quota of the Radical Party, Censor.NET reports.

Being present during Liashko's statement on pulling the party out of the coalition, the vice-prime minister commented on his resignation: "The decision of the Radical Party faction to quit the coalition was taken unanimously which made impossible for the Radical Party to have a representative in the government. For me personally that means announcement of resignation from the post of deputy prime minister today."

Liashko added that three Chairmen of the Parliamentary Committees, who were delegated to these offices under the quota of the Radical Party, would also resign.

"We demonstrate European approaches in politics and do not perpetuate ourselves in offices," Liashko said.
