Stanislau Shushkevich On "Parliamentary Elections": People Are Tired Of What’s Going On

If there were real elections in Belarus, there would be a different political regime in the country.

It is expected that on June 7 the Central Election Commission of Belarus will announce the beginning of the campaign for elections to the “Chamber”, which should take place on the first Sunday of September.

In this regard, the former Chairman of the Supreme Council of Belarus, member of the Belarusian National Congress Council from the Belarusian Social Democratic Party ('Hramada') Stanislau Shushkevich answers the questions of the journalist of the Human Rights Centre "Viasna" about the peculiarities of the regular "parliamentary" election campaign, comments on the words of Aliaksandr Lukashenka that decent people should make a new "parliament" and speaks of his personal relation to the electoral process in Belarus.
