The dictator visits underdeveloped authoritarian countries, which still are not aware about the "quality" of his products.

On Sunday, Lukashenka met with the leaders of Egypt during his official visit to this country. The next dictator’s destination is Sudan.

This way the Belarusian authorities are looking for new markets, political analyst Valery Karbalevich says.

– They believe that there are still countries in the "third world," which need Belarusian tractors and MAZs, that they simply are not aware of these products, and if Lukashenka goes there and makes a presentation, then they will start to buy them, – the analyst says in his interview to "Your Country’s Tomorrow". – It is the belief that the Belarusian products are good ones, just nobody knows about them.

The analyst believes that there is an element of publicity here as well: the Belarusian dictator is chosen to be seen in Africa.

As for the features of the political regime in a given country, for example, in Sudan, here the Belarusian leadership is not too picky, because the Belarusian regime is largely authoritarian and undemocratic itself. The fact that the Sudanese regime is not very well welcomed in the world, is unlikely to be an obstacle to Lukashenka, the analyst concludes.

– On the contrary, there are some advantages: the Sudanese regime is not recognized in the world, but Belarusians are ready to come. It might be profitable as well, as there are not many economic players in Sudan, – the expert believes.

The West has lifted sanctions against the official Minsk, Belarus, but its head is still not seen in Europe.

– If invited, Lukashenka would like to go, – the analyst says. – He has been to Rome, called to the Pope, the President and, apparently, he wasn’t very satisfied with that, because the Italy's prime minister did not meet him, and he is actually the first person of the state. This has become a certain lesson.

"What is Sudan? A poor country"

– The total turnover with this country consists of Belarusian exports, and in the best years it amounted to about $ 80 million, and now it’s nearly 40 million. But these figures are not the level of the country's ruler, – economist Leu Marholin says.

Even if after this visit, the turnovers increase by 10-20 million dollars, they would increase without the participation of Lukashenka, the expert has no doubt.

According to him, the head of Belarus' travels to the countries of the so-called "long-arc" are in no way justified. The result would have been if the "long-arc" covered the countries, with which we could have a fairly large turnover – India, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa. But it is focused on the countries that used to be called underdeveloped.

More often, at best, letters of intent are signed as a result of such visits, and at worst – they are simply dictated by a desire make a hole in the pocket.

– What is Sudan? This is a poor country, and even if we had something very valuable to offer, it still has no capacity to buy it. We shouldn’t count on a sharp turnover increase, – the expert concludes.
