Special Forces And Dog Specialists Search For Missing Maksim Malhaliuk In Belavezhskaya Pushcha

The search for the 11-year-old boy does not stop.

The press service of the Hrodna region police department informed Euroradio that the search for the boy, who had disappeared on September 16, did not stop: "The search for Maksim Malhaliuk is on daily: today about 120 people are looking for him: special forces of the 3214 unit, internal troops, soldiers, dog specialists and the police. In the coming days, another large group of dog handlers is arriving."

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that the help of volunteers and the Ministry of Emergency Situations is not needed at the moment, but they are ready to help at any time.

We remind that Maksim Malhaliuk went missing on the evening of September 16. He told his friends that he would go for the mushrooms, and disappeared. Next to the hut, in which local children used to play, the boy's bicycle was found. The search for the schoolboy continues for the sixteenth day. On September 26, a criminal case on the fact of the boy’s disappearance was initiated under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Belarus. On October 6, the boy was put on the international wanted list, but so far there have been no results. On October 10, Maksim turned 11.

The search for Maksim has become the most massive rescue operation in Belarus: over 2000 people have taken part in it. Apart from volunteers and law enforcement officers, psychic mediums were involved in the search.
