BNC Activist Searched In Homel

The office equipment was seized from Henadz Padolnitski.

"They searched Henadz Padolnitski, the leader of the Homel Self-Help civil campaign, which is part of the Belarusian National Congress," – the BNC press service reported last night.

According to another BNC activist, Homel human rights activist Ales Yauseyanka, Padolnitski managed to inform him that the security officials came with the prosecutor’s sanction.

"They take the office equipment away. Henadz takes an active part in fighting against the demolition of private houses in the city. Local BNC activists believe that the search and a possible criminal case are the Homel officials’ revenge," –the BNC press service informed.
