Naftan Head Dismissed

General director of the Navapolatsk refinery complex Naftan-Palimir Uladzimir Tretsiakou has been dismissed.

"Yes, he has been fired. The decision has been taken at the top," – the source said. The reasons of the dismissal are not yet known.

The Navapolatsk refinery doesn’t comment on the situation.

According to Navapolatsk Vector TV, Lukashenka's administration head Natallia Kachanova, who has been on a working visit there today, informed about Tretsiakou’s resignation. Deputy general director for production Siarhei Altukhau has been appointed acting director general of Naftan.

"Unfortunately, the current leadership of the factory cannot quickly resolve some issues related to the modernization of such an important enterprise as Naftan. Therefore, such a decision has been taken," – Kachanava explained. Before moving to Minsk into the Council of Ministers, she was the mayor of Navapolatsk.

Uladzimir Tretsiakou graduated from the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry named after Gubkin. He started his professional career as a Parex machine operator at the Mozyr oil refinery. Then, he worked in Komsomol for about nine years. From 1990 to 2002 he worked in the economic sphere in various management positions. And all his subsequent activities are associated with the petroleum product industry. He worked as deputy director general at Belorusneft. He became the head of Naftan on April 15, 2011.
