Belarusians Start Collecting Signatures Against Propaganda Of Stalinism

The participants of the forum “Bolshevist Terror. Right to Establish the Truth” call for signing a petition.

On August 22, on the eve of the International Day of Rememberance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism (“The Black Ribbon Day”), the forum of the “Bolshevist Terror. Right to Establish the Truth” was held.

Over 40 people took part in the forum, including Belarusian historians, HR defenders, leaders of political parties and initiatives. Upon the resolution, adopted at the forum, a petition was created.

The main demands are to open the KGB archives, to reveal the names of the victims of Stalinism and the places of their executions, and to prohibit propaganda of Stalinism.
