An aggressive guest of the “restaurant on bones” got a police “director” and an activist confused.
A conflict occurred again near the restaurant in Kurapaty, one of the leaders of defenders of Kurapaty, Pavel Seviarynets, told Radio Svaboda. According to him, the guests of the restaurant’s cofounder, Leanid Zaidzes, torn activist Dzianis Urbanovich’s jacket, and a “man in civilian clothes” caught it bad, too. No one was hurt badly.
“Today Leanid Zaidzes has been to the restaurant, and at around eight at night, seven cars with his guests arrived, – Pavel Seviarynets says. – There were those who took the booklets and drove into the territory of the restaurant. And there were those who behaved rudely and arrogantly. They attacked the defenders of Kurapaty.
One woman was completely inadequate, she even attacked the police “operator,” trying to wrest the camera from him. The second one shouted: “My grandfather served in the NKVD! Yes, I’ve come here.” She brought two children with her. They come demonstratively and try to arrange a provocation here.”
Seviarynets said the traffic police arrived to draw up reports against Kurapaty defenders. But he hopes that the restaurant guests will also face the consequences, since the police filmed their actions as well. Seviarynets notes: the car registration numbers were “vanity plates.” So, “it is obvious that those were all well-connected people.”
Before that, the activists went to the restaurant, where they distributed booklets with stories about Stalinist repressions to the staff, while the staff tried to persuade them to eat.
