The Slutty Power
LEANID ZAIKA

The leaders are turning the country into an "island of aborigines".

Head of the analytical center "Strategy" Leanid Zaika said this in an interview with BelGazeta.

- Almost all the world media wrote that the mass arrests of journalists began in Belarus. Do not those who organized this mayhem understand that this negatively affects a very important non-material asset - the image of the country, the reputation of its leadership and, ultimately, the investment attractiveness?

- Belarus has long had the image of the last dictatorship of Europe. But thanks to Vladimir Putin, the world gasped and decided that in Russia the dictatorship is even more steep, and Putin is just an anathema. And Lukashenka went into the background. So, those at the top probably decided that it was time to restore their positions, and decimated journalists.

The authorities acted under the principle of "beat your own people so that others feared". This is the usual slutty power. Remember how the Vasily Shukshin’s character in the movie "Happy Go Lucky" said: "A slut in pants ... And in a hat ... And in a raincoat ..."? Belarusian special services worked according to their own laws and rules.

- Projects such as CJSC Belji, modernization of Krasnoselskstroimaterialy, the Dobrush paper factory Hero of Labor and the Svetlahorsk pulp and paper mill are implemented not for the Belarusian money, but for the Chinese money. Why do the Belarusians turn into aborigines who, for the notorious "beads", are ready to justify and tolerate people, organizations and institutions that wipe their feet against them?

- In 1991 German comrades were ready to allocate an $ 10 million loan to Belarus: we give you a loan, and you buy our harvesters, tractors and other equipment. That is, they offered a so-called tied loan. In Belarus, no one knew what it is back then. And this is the greatest evil.

And now the Chinese give us tied loans. No self-respecting country will allow investors boss it around like this.

Belarus lacks experienced people. In the 1930s there was an idea of making Belarus a Jewish Soviet Republic. If done, then no one would come to us today with a stupid proposal for tied loans.
