Budget Gets Poorer Due To Fall Of Stocks Of Profit-Making Enterprises

The Belarusian public sector has reduced dividend payments to the budget by 12.77%.

According to the Ministry of Taxes and Dues of Belarus, last year the budget received 1,534.3 million rubles in the form of dividends. A year earlier, the amount was 1,759 million rubles, writes “Your Country’s Tomorrow”.

The sums of the transferred dividends were reduced in Minsk, Brest and Mahiliou regions.

In the Minsk region, the treasury last year lost 15.7% on dividends - the amount of revenues decreased from 744.1 million to 185 million rubles. As a result, the share of this source in the total budget revenues decreased from 21.3% to 5.5%.

The largest payer of dividends in the region and in the country is Belaruskali, 100% of its shares belong to the Belarusian state. Last year, the Salihorsk union significantly reduced payments per share. Earlier it was reported that following the results of three quarters of 2018, Belaruskali transferred 113.4 million rubles to the budget as dividends. For comparison: following the results of the whole of 2017, Belaruskali provided payments in the amount of 696, 9 million rubles.

The best dynamics from all regions in the state sector was shown by the Hrodna region. At the end of 2018, dividend growth in the region amounted to 2.8%. Last year, the region overtook Minsk and Brest regions in this regard.
