AMAP's Favorite Band Refused to Give Concerts for Security Officials

Tiani-Tolkai band signed an open letter against violence.

More than 1,500 Belarusian authors left their signatures under an open letter, among the demands of which is stopping the violence by the security forces. Among the names of the signatories are members of the Tiani-Tolkai band, the authors of the Almaz anthem, regulars at concerts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and AMAP, the website tuzinfm.by writes.

"I don't understand how this could happen and how it could be possible. I'm shocked. To date, we have received offers to perform, and I said that this is absolutely impossible. We are not singing such songs yet," one of the band members said in an interview.

"August 9-11 turned everything upside down. I called up with many friends, veterans who are already retired, they explained something to, but I don't understand how it is possible. These are our own people," said the musician of the Tiani-Tolkai band.
