MEP Robert Biedroń was not allowed to enter Belarus

The head of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Belarus was supposed to arrive in the country today.

MEP and head of the delegation for relations with Belarus Robert Biedroń were not allowed to enter Belarus, „Belsat” reports.

Biedroń was supposed to come to Belarus today together with Petras Auštrevičius, the European Parliament rapporteur on Belarus, to study the current situation in Belarus.

The visit was planned to last until Sunday. MEPs were going to meet with government officials, detained EU citizens, political prisoners, representatives of NGOs, and independent media.
