Polskie Radio: More Than 10 Thousand Migrants Ready To Storm Border With Lukashenka Regime's Support

Migrants have been arriving at the Belarusian-Polish border in the area of Kuźnica Białostocka since November 8.

The situation on the Polish-Belarusian border remains tense. Illegal migrants have been arriving in the area of Kuźnica Białostocka since morning. At the moment there are about 4,000 of them here, and in total more than 10,000 are ready to arrive at the border. They are brought here by the special services of the Lukashenka regime, they force the migrants to storm the border, the border guards also hand out scissors to cut the barbed wire. As many as eight hundred migrants are trying to cross the Polish-Belarusian border near Kuźnica Białostocka at the moment, writes Polskie Radio.

Polish Border Guard Service informs that the border traffic, both passenger and freight, will be suspended at the crossing point in Kuźnica Białostocka starting from 7:00 am on November 9 until further notice.

At the moment, the Polish-Belarusian border is guarded by about four and a half thousand officers of the Polish Border Guard Service, over ten thousand soldiers of the Polish Army and several hundred policemen.

The situation on the Polish-Belarusian border has been discussed at a meeting at the National Security Bureau, which was attended by President of Poland Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, ministers and heads of special services. Earlier, a meeting of the crisis headquarters was held at the Ministry of National Defense, which was attended, among others, by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

In the evening, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also participated in a videoconference with the heads of governments of Lithuania and Latvia, the countries bordering Belarus.

The situation on the border was also discussed in the evening at the meeting of the presidium of the political committee of the "Law and Justice" party, which was attended by the party chairman Jaroslaw Kaczynski.

In connection with the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, Polish President Andrzej Duda decided to change his plans for the next few days and stay in the country (in the evening of November 8 he planned to visit Slovakia). Andrzej Duda also spoke with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski. They have no serious disagreements on the situation at the border of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Poland. "Everyone sees what Lukashenka is doing," said Jakub Kumoch, head of the foreign policy department of the RP president.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis called on the EU to tighten sanctions against the Minsk regime and add Belarusian airports to the list of restricted facilities.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland Błażej Poboży emphasized that pressure on the Polish special services and the political class is increasing every hour.

The Polish Sejm will gather at 16:00 on November 9: the deputies will hear the government's information about the situation at the Polish-Belarusian border.
