Belarus Taxed Travel To Ukraine And Some EU Countries

Lukashenka's regime demands more and more money under sanctions.

On June 1, Belarus will impose additional border crossing fees in the direction of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland. The local fee for crossing the border by vehicles will be collected in Homel and Hrodna regions, the State Border Committee of Belarus reports.

The official reason for restrictions is called "the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection. Previously, illegitimate Lukashenka was denying the existence of the virus and refused to impose quarantine to control the epidemic.

The fee for vehicles weighing up to five tons is 29 rubles, regardless of the number of passengers.

Where and how to pay the fee:

It is possible to pay the fee before crossing the border, using the services of a bank, online banking, etc;

The receipt must contain: the payer's name (name of the legal entity), the amount and date of payment, the registration number of the vehicle, the details of payment;

In case of paying via Internet-banking the card-check can be presented in paper or electronic form;

In case of payment of the fee by an individual entrepreneur or an organization from its account, a copy of the payment instruction with the bank's stamp must be presented additionally when going abroad;

The fee may be paid only in the national currency - Belarusian rubles;

You can pay the fee directly at the checkpoint, but note that not all of them are equipped with terminals;

If you cross the border in a different place of payment (paid to the income of the appropriate regional budget), the fee will be considered unpaid.
