The Ukrainian president has received more than 3.3 million votes from the authoritative publication's readers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has become the most influential man of the year 2022 according to the readers of the Time magazine.

"When Russian troops launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February, Zelensky, a comedian with no political experience before being elected president of Ukraine in 2019, took to the global stage and united leaders to support Ukraine," the report said.

Volodymyr Zelensky scored more than 3.3 million votes and came in first place with 5% of the vote.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk came in second place with 3.5 percent of the votes. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came third with 3.4% of the vote. Fourth place went to medics who are helping the world fight the coronavirus. And U.S. President Joe Biden was fifth on the list of the most influential people of the year according to readers of the publication, he gathered 3.1% of the vote.

The final list of the most influential people of 2022 will be published on May 23, and may have some changes, as the magazine's editors have not yet voted on it.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was put on the May cover of the US Time magazine.
