Russia Introduced Digital Subpoenas

The Russians were forbidden to delete an account on the “State Services” platform.

Russia introduces digital subpoenas as part of the spring conscription for military service. This was stated by the representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tsimplyansky.

“Employees of the military commissariats were tasked to notify citizens in electronic form in preparation for the spring conscription campaign, which begins on April 1,” he said.

According to him, the Russian Ministry of Defense already has a single electronic database of conscripts. At the same time, in cases where it is not technically possible to send a “digital subpoena”, it will be delivered in the usual way.

Meanwhile, the possibility of deleting an account has already disappeared from the Russian electronic platform “State Services”. According to Meduza, the corresponding button has disappeared from the menu on the PC version of the site, and in the mobile application, when you try to use it, a “function is not available” notification pops up.

Journalists also noticed that the instructions for deleting an account had disappeared from the technical assistance section of the “State Services”. Technical support says that you can only delete an account through a personal appeal.

On the eve, Putin signed a decree on holding the spring conscription of young men for military service. This year they want to draft a record 147 thousand people into the army.
