Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk was supposed to be released on August 6, but a criminal case was opened against her for the second time for “disobedience to the administration of the colony”. Now Palina faces up to two more years in prison. There was information that she had been severely beaten in the colony.
The mother-of-two has been in captivity since early January 2021. It is important to note that Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk renounced the citizenship of Belarus in the colony.
Belarusian opposition leader Mikalai Statkevich has been deprived of the necessary medicines and has been held in solitary confinement for more than three years, while his family has had no information about him for more than six months.
