Ukrainian MoD Puts Forward Ultimatum To Russia In The Black Sea

The Russian fleet can be driven into Tuapse and Novorossiysk.

Ukraine, a year after the destruction of the Russian cruiser Moskva, has increased its capabilities to eliminate ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Deputy Defense Minister Volodymyr Gavrilov said this, liga.net reports.

Gavrilov commented on the statement of the Ministry of Defense that from July 21, all ships that sail in the Black Sea in the direction of Russian seaports and Ukrainian seaports temporarily occupied by Russia can be considered by Ukraine as carrying military cargo “with all the corresponding risks”.

Gavrilov said that Ukraine's ability to make these risks real now is much greater than at the beginning of the war, and it will only grow.

According to him, the existing opportunities will allow Ukraine “to drive the entire Black Sea Fleet closer to Tuapse, Novorossiysk and prevent them from moving in the Crimean zone”.

“Our capabilities are not limited to Neptun-type systems. There are other systems as well. We are much stronger in this aspect than we were a year ago. And we are moving further and further in this direction,” he said.

Gavrilov said that “the more the war drags on, the less likely it is for the Russian Black Sea Fleet to survive in the short term thanks to the technological solutions that we will use to close this topic”.
