Ukraine's Defence Forces Shoot Down 18 'Shaheds,' 17 Cruise Missiles Overnight

All Russian missiles were shot down.

On the night of September 18, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 strike drones and Kh-101/X-555/X-55 air-launched cruise missiles. All missiles and most of the drones were shot down. This was reported by the command of the air forces of the AFU on Telegram on September 18.

According to the AFU, lhjys Shahed flew from two directions from Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF) and Cape Chauda on the territory of Crimea temporarily occupied by Russia.

"A total of 24 attack UAVs were recorded in the direction of Mykolaiv and Odesa regions. 18 attack drones were destroyed by air defence along the route of the route," the AFU said.

It added that launches of cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers the occupants made from Volgograd region.

"Involved eight aircraft, recorded launches of 17 cruise missiles of the type Kh-101/X-555/X-55. All 17 - destroyed by forces and means of the Air Force within Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Khmelnitsky regions," reported in the Air Force.
