Putin Needs Orderlies

The ruler had reached a state of frenzied madness.

One of the proposals made by the CIA director during his trip to Moscow was to hold a trilateral meeting between Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyy, according to Barack Ravid. The Americans informed Kyiv about the talks in Russia and about the proposal to hold such a summit.

The Ukrainians are extremely skeptical of Moscow’s intentions and claim to have intelligence indicating preparations for a major escalation of the war. In Kyiv, officials believe that Putin has ordered his troops to prepare several operational scenarios for an offensive against Kyiv and Chernihiv.

However, Putin himself offered a peculiar response to this initiative. At a meeting with teachers, he made a proposal that psychiatrists should really be the ones to evaluate: to explain to children “what kind of world we live in and why we are conducting a special military operation,” using the example of how killer whales attack polar bears. Moreover, he spoke enthusiastically about how a pod tears a bear to pieces. It is unclear where these scenes came from in his deranged mind: even if such things do happen, they are extremely rare.

Putin would be excellent material for studying the aging of psychopaths over time. And it will only get worse. He believes every piece of nonsense that his entourage—fueled by charlatans and outright con artists—eagerly feeds him. He has always been a dim-witted and narrow-minded man, a paranoid prone to conspiracy theories. And now it has reached the stage of raving madness.

The fury with which his criminal army is now bombarding Kyiv practically around the clock is by no means “retaliatory actions,” as Russian propagandists are trying to portray it. Children are dying as a result of these strikes. Yesterday, an entire nursing home burned down, killing 37 people. Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense went so far as to officially announce a campaign of strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Putin doesn’t need a summit; he doesn’t need negotiations. He needs orderlies.
