AFU Shoot Down Russian A-50 Plane Over Sea Of Azov

Another one was hit.

The Ukrainian military shot down a Russian aircraft, A-50, over the Azov Sea and hit an IL-22 in the evening, January 14.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to sources in the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

According to information from sources in the Defence Forces, it was reported about the shooting down by the Air Force of the Russian military aircraft A-50 and damaging IL-22M11, tail number 75106.

The A-50 aircraft was reportedly shot down immediately after it went on duty near Kirillivka at around 21:10-21:15 on January 14. The A-50 disappeared from radar and stopped responding to tactical aviation requests, and later a pilot of a Su-30 aircraft of the Russian Air Force detected the burning and crashing of an unidentified aircraft.

The Il-22M11 aircraft was on duty near Strelkove and was eventually hit along the coast of the Sea of Azov at around 9pm on January 14. After being hit, the aircraft planned to land in Anapa, requested evacuation, an ambulance and a fire truck.
