Head of the Public Council under the Odesa Regional State Administration Serhiy Bratchuk, said that Ukrainian UAVs attacked a military unit in the city of Kovylkino, Mordovia. The distance to the target was about 650 kilometers.

He wrote about this on Telegram.

He noted that the 590th separate radio technical unit of military unit 84680 was attacked, which is armed with the 29B6 Container over-the-horizon radar, its target detection range reaches about 3,000 km, and its altitude is more than 100 km.

Bratchuk stated that the position with the transmitter was installed near the city of Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod region. The receiving antenna and the main part of the radar electronics were located in Kovylkino.

On the night of April 11, two drones attacked Mordovia in the Russian Federation for the first time, said the head of the Republic Artem Zdunov.. According to him, the air defense forces seemed to be able to destroy both drones.

Then the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that three drones were shot down over the Kursk and Tambov regions, two each over the Belgorod region and Mordovia, and one more over the Bryansk and Lipetsk regions.

Then Russian media stated that both drones were shot down over military unit 84680 for over-the-horizon detection of air targets in Kovylkino.

It is noted that as a result of the attack, the building where the command post was previously located was damaged. There were no casualties.
