The level of the Ural River in the Orenburg region reached 11 meters after the third dam break in the Russian city of Orsk. The water almost flooded the villages of Nickel and Stroitel overnight. Approximately 4.4 thousand houses were flooded.

This is reported by Russian media with reference to local authorities, apostrophe.ua reports.

After another break of the dam in Orsk, the water reached the city bus station and courtyards. Traffic on several streets is blocked, some houses do not have light and gas. At the same time, the flood zone in the city may increase.

Residents of the flooded villages of Nickel and Stroitel were evacuated. The number of temporary accommodation points has reached 12 and may still increase. According to the residents of the Myasokombinat village, the water flooded the minibuses in the parking lot, and approached the first nine-storey building from the side of the village.

The governor of the Orenburg region, Denis Pasler, said that this flood was the most abundant in the history of the region.

In addition, after the evacuation of more than a thousand people, rescuers caught pets, which the people left at home or on a leash.
