Solovyov Shames Himself Live On Air Over 'Agent Heli Copter'

The propagandist demonstrated complete ignorance.

Russian propagandist Vladimir Soloviev said on live TV that the "assassination" of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was carried out by Heli Copter. In fact, it's just the English word of "helicopter" broken into two parts.

According to the Russian opposition Telegram channel of Sirena, Solovyov showed in his programme a fragment of a report by an Israeli TV channel, which said that a "Mossad agent" named Heli Copter may have been involved in Raisi's death.

Apparently, the propagandist did not understand or simply ignored the fact that the Israeli journalists simply voiced an Internet joke in their programme.

"Agent Heli Copter" was made up by Twitter users by simply splitting the English word for "helicopter" - Heli Copter - into two parts.

Despite the easy-to-read joke, Solovyov showed his viewers a fragment of someone else's programme in a foreign language in all seriousness, saying that it was part of a French TV channel's programme.

At the same time, the Russians were given a simultaneous translation of what was said in this fragment: "The Hamas group says that the helicopter pilot was a Mossad agent and even gives his name - Heli Copter".

Solovyov then told viewers with a serious face that historically for Israel, "political assassination is an absolutely acceptable form of struggle for the survival of one's country."

The Voice of Israel channel published the joke, which was replicated by many social media users.

"The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam (Hamas) Brigades, citing some sources: 'A MOSSAD agent named Heli Copter is behind the downing of Raisi's helicopter,'" the channel wrote.

Today the resource stated that the joke was not understood in Russia: "Solovyov has 'exposed' the assassin of Iranian President Raisi. He turned out to be Mossad agent Heli Copter. Will someone tell him?"
