Ukrainian Armed Forces Defeat Russian Armored Group Near Heorhiivka

The video showed what was left of the column.

Ukrainian paratroopers defeated a Russian armored group and took prisoners near Heorhiivka, Donetsk region. The 46th separate airmobile brigade reported that they managed to neutralize all the occupiers' equipment, which this time the Russian command sent to storm.

“All the boxes moving towards the positions of the 46th airborne assault brigade immediately became scrap metal. Not a single one escaped,” the paratroopers said.

Three tanks, one MT-LB armored personnel carrier, and one BMP infantry fighting vehicle remained on the battlefield. The Russians hung protective grilles on all the armored vehicles, which were supposed to stop attack drones. However, it was the paratroopers' FPV attack drones that became the weapon that destroyed Russian armored vehicles.

Also, to pass through Ukrainian minefields, the tanks were equipped with KMT-6 rolling trawls.

The trawl's operating principle is based on pushing mines out of the ground and throwing them beyond the projection of the tracks. Eight occupiers from the assault platoon were eliminated and another 14 were wounded, some escaped from the battlefield. Four Russian soldiers also decided to surrender to the Ukrainian paratroopers.

“Four occupiers were wise to voluntarily end up in our captivity and replenish the exchange fund of the Defense Forces,” the paratroopers said.

Heorhiivka is located west of Maryinka, so the road to Kurakhove, one of the key defense centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region, runs through the village. This is not the first attempt by the occupiers to break through near this settlement. Back in early June, paratroopers stopped attacks by Russian armored groups in the direction of Heorhiivka.
