Media: Ukrainian Drones Hit Russia’s Most Unusual Target

For the entire war.

The Ronin drone unit from the 56th separate mechanized brigade hit a Russian diesel locomotive with a fuel train near Tokmak. The strike demonstrates not only the capabilities of Ukrainian drones, but also the problems in the enemy's logistics, Defense Express.

As noted, the Oko Gora community analyzed the geolocation where the train was hit and found out that the strike occurred almost 30 kilometers deep from the line of combat. However, analysts argue that in this situation, the unusual thing is not the record-breaking flight range of the drone, but the fact that the Russians are using a railway line 25 kilometers from the fighting.

“At this point, it is worth analyzing the very nature of the target that was hit, and here is what we will see. The footage featured a two-section diesel locomotive of the 2TE116 type, which has a body length of 36 meters and a full weight of 276 tons. These dimensions make the affected locomotive not only the most unusual, but also the largest target of the Russians, which our FPV drone hit,” the material says. However, it is still unknown what consequences the Ukrainian drones hit the Russian locomotive. Experts suggested that with equal probability the hit could have had no consequences, or could have led to a malfunction of the locomotive, which would complicate the further movement of the echelon with fuel.
