AFU Colonel: Lukashenka Having Serious Problems

The military expert has explained what frightened the dictator.

Russian Defence Minister arrived in Belarus, as well as the heads of the Ministries of Defence of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. At the same time, Aliaksandr Lukashenka complains about the "difficult situation" on the border with Ukraine.

In response, Belarus has deployed a battalion of Polonez MLRS from its side of the border. Military expert, flight instructor and colonel of the AFU in reserve Roman Svitan told "Channel 24" that this situation has developed in particular because of the poor work of Belarusian intelligence and analysts.

"Lukashenka took very seriously the reinforcement of the National Guard and National Police forces of the border with Belarus by Ukraine. In Minsk, this is seen as escalation and preparation for certain military actions.

However, Ukraine does not need to attack Belarus at all now," explained the military expert.

Nevertheless, Minsk is trying to counteract in response. In particular, Lukashenka invites his so far "friends" in the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organisation) to Belarus. Minsk will host a regular meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS member states on July 4.

"However, all this will end on July 3 - 4, when Astana (Kazakhstan) will host the conference of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation), of which Belarus is to become a new member. That's why representatives of the CSTO and SCO member states have come to Belarus to strengthen it," said Roman Svitan.

The situation should calm down in the coming weeks. It has arisen, in his opinion, because Lukashenka has serious problems with perception and building cause-and-effect relationships.
