Trump Explained Whether He Invited Putin To The G20 Summit

The President of the United States responded to a direct question.

US President Donald Trump has said that he has not invited Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit. However, he believes that such a visit would be useful.

This is reported by Clash Report.

While speaking to the press, Trump was asked whether the information in the media that the US invited Putin to the G20 summit in Miami was true. The US leader's response was as follows:

"I did not invite Putin to the G20 summit, but if he came, it would probably be very helpful," Trump said.

What preceded

On the night of April 23, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said that Russia had allegedly been invited to attend the G20 summit in the United States this December. But Pankin added that the decision on participation would be made closer to the event.

Already that evening, The Washington Post reported that Donald Trump intends to invite Vladimir Putin to the G20 leaders' summit. It will tentatively be held at Trump's Doral Golf Club in Miami.

"No official invitations have been issued at the moment, but Russia is a member of the G20 and will be invited to the ministerial meetings and the leaders' summit," the publication's source said.
