The first power unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant was disconnected from the grid on April 27.

The press service of the enterprise informed about it.

The shutdown of the power unit No. 1 is temporary. It was done in connection with the need to carry out preventive maintenance work on the equipment. As emphasized at BelNPP, such measures are necessary to ensure reliable operation of the power unit.

At the same time, it is noted that the radiation background in the area of the plant remains unchanged.
