Russians On The Frontline Are Attacked By A "Martian" From A Hot Air Balloon

The AFU fighters came up with a trick.

Ukraine's armed forces have come up with a new way to use the US Hornet kamikaze drone (it is also known as "Martian-2") against Russian occupiers with the help of a balloon, writes Dialog.UA.

The essence of the new tactic is that the balloon delivers the Hornet to the necessary point and then drops it. This greatly increases the range to destroy targets. During tests of the new tactic, the balloon climbed to an altitude of 8 km and flew 42 km. This was followed by a Hornet kamikaze drone drop. As a result, the drone can destroy a target at a distance 1.5-2 times greater than usual.

Hornet drones were developed and produced by the American company Swift Beat. Thanks to artificial intelligence and other technologies, it is able to independently recognize targets, so the effectiveness of the application is increased. The warhead weighs up to 5 kg. The maximum range is 100-150 km (according to other sources - 120 km). The AFU began using the Hornet in 2026.

German military expert Julian Röpke believes that it is with these drones that Ukrainian fighters destroy the logistics of the Russian occupiers in the Donetsk area.
