A Few Conclusions From The Scandal In Minsk Theater

Including the positive.

The story with noisy schoolchildren in the Drama Theater of the Belarusian Army will surely be continued, if it hasn't happened already. One can guess what it will be like in the conditions of today's Belarus, writes "Salidarnasts".

It's enough to remember what happened to the teenagers in Mahiliou, who last year showed an obscene gesture to the salute in honor of May 9.

But in any case, whatever propagandists and education officials come up with, there is already a reason to think and draw conclusions.

Children, if they are really interested and fascinated by what they see in the theater, behave differently. Even if they were brought there by order.

Of course, in every class there are some troublemakers. But their own classmates would not let them get away with it, if, again, it was interesting. And that means that the questions here are much more for the adults than for the children.

These schoolchildren did not come out of nowhere. They are the same children, like hundreds of thousands of others, who in recent years have been dressed up in gymnasers and pilots, smeared with soot and taught to march.

The same children who are taken to Stalin's Disneyland and Khatyn, to police stations and military units. Their psyche is being spared by images of the horrors of war, to which neither they nor their parents had anything to do.

On the positive side, the story in the theater may indicate that the return on the efforts of propaganda, military instructors and teachers willing to do anything for the sake of work is close to zero. It is not excluded that the reaction of children in Minsk theater is a banal rejection of a rather annoying topic.

And one more important point. Even the most ill-mannered child perfectly recognizes falsity and insincerity of adults. There's more than enough of both in what they do with today's children in Belarus.

The theatrina, who raised the scandalous topic, in a burst of emotion suggested sending children to the zoo or circus. At least, she missed the circus, considering what the memory of that terrible war has been turned into.

And what is especially symbolic, even in this performance the actresses were dressed up and made up more like clowns than heroines of that distant war.
