The Kremlin Has Given Up On Russia

The country is being ravaged to take Malyaya Tokmachka after all.
A pyramid of government debt and hyperinflation instead of spending cuts - in Russia, the choice has been made! Forgotten are the talks about "prioritization" (as the budget sequestration was called) and attempts to curb the ballooning budget deficit. The Ministry of Finance has decided to increase spending! Or rather - not decided, but gave up on their unrestrained growth in the first 5 months of the year. In January-April they amounted to more than 17 trillion rubles - if we project this dynamics until the end of the year, we will get about 53 trillion rubles instead of the planned 44 trillion rubles. The 2026 budget deficit will surely exceed the unthinkable 10 trillion rubles!
In an interview with Kommersant, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that government spending will increase amid growing uncertainty in the world and, in particular, tensions in the Middle East. According to the minister, the ministry has prepared legislative proposals for the uninterrupted fulfillment of budget obligations regardless of external factors.
It is obvious that the Kremlin lacks even half of its previous budget for the war. Financial stability has been wavered to take, after all, Malyaya Tokmachka.
