The Security Service of Ukraine has conducted a successful special operation deep behind enemy lines. Specialists of the Special Operations Center "Alpha" hit a strategically important facility of radio-electronic intelligence of the FSB of the Russian Federation in Krasnodar region, OBOZ.UA.
The SBU press center reported. It is noted that the special forces carried out a successful drone strike on the 16th center of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
"This control point, located in the Temryutsk district of Krasnodar region, the enemy used to guide missiles and drones on the territory of Ukraine, as well as to intercept signals from foreign satellites," the SBU said.
What is known about the 16th center of the Russian Federal Security Service
The 16th center of the Russian Federal Security Service, whose official name is the Center for Electronic Intelligence on Communications Facilities of the Russian Federal Security Service, is considered one of the most closed and classified structures of the Russian secret service.
The center carries out electronic intelligence, and its main tasks are interception, decryption and processing of electronic messages, monitoring of Internet traffic, as well as satellite espionage - the occupants use the center's facilities to intercept signals from foreign satellites,
Alfa commandos carried out a successful drone strike on a branch of the 16th FSB center - a control point located in the Temryuksky district of Krasnodar Krai. It played a key role in the air terror against Ukraine. The occupiers used it to target Ukrainian cities with cruise missiles and attack drones.
The aftermath of the attack
The Ukrainian drone attack completely disabled and paralyzed the center's key facilities and high-tech equipment.
This significantly weakened the enemy's ability to control the airspace, coordinate air defense systems and target Ukraine.
"The defeat of electronic intelligence centers opens new opportunities for Ukrainian drones and makes it more difficult for Russia to protect military facilities in the deep rear," the SBU said.
