Lukashenko Reached An Agreement With Uzbekistan To Exchange Meat For Migrant Workers

The dictator spoke about a strange “barter deal.”

Minsk and Tashkent have agreed to expand their cooperation—Belarus will supply its meat and dairy products to Uzbekistan, and in return will be able to attract Uzbek workers to its regions. This was announced by Alexander Lukashenko, whose remarks were reported by the state news agency BelTA.

According to Lukashenko, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is ready to invest in the construction of livestock complexes, feed storage facilities, and processing plants in Belarus.

“They will come here and produce meat and milk. The President of Uzbekistan is providing funds for investments—for the construction of livestock complexes, silage pits, and processing facilities. He’s investing and providing people who will work here and earn a living,” he said.
