It has to do with Russian drones.
May 5, Great Britain imposed new sanctions against Russia. Two natives of Belarus - brothers Egor and Pavel Nikitin - are also on the list. They are associated with the supply of drones to Russia, writes "Zerkalo".
Egor Valerievich Nikitin is listed as a citizen of Belarus, owning the companies "Zavod Suntex" and "Shefmontazh." Pavel Valeryevich Nikitin is a Russian citizen who owns the Russian companies "Rustakt" and "Santross."
The reasons for the sanctions are stated that both natives of Belarus are or were involved in destabilizing Ukraine, undermining or threatening its territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence. And it is connected with the listed companies.
We recall that the Belarusian Investigative Center (BRC) told about the scheme to circumvent international sanctions, related to the supply of drones for the Russian army through Belarus. At that time, it was reported that SZAO Zavod Santeks in Homel, despite the public production of enameled dishes, sinks and other household goods, was involved in the re-export of drones.
Ukrainian intelligence calls the Russian company Rustakt the manufacturer of FPV drones, which have been used in the war against Ukraine since 2022.
Pavel Nikitin was born in Minsk and moved to Russia in the 2000s. There he became the owner or co-owner of about 20 companies over the last 20 years, half of which are still operating today. The profile of their activities ranges from fishing to the assembly of kamikaze combat drones.
