A fire broke out in the area of Gelendzhik, not far from "Putin's palace", after declaring a threat of a drone attack. The fire occurred at a facility located in the sea, and the footage was published by the Exilenova+ and Crimean Wind telegram channels. Before that, a warning system siren was operating in Gelendzhik, according to local authorities, and monitoring channels warned of a possible attack by uncrewed boats.
What exactly caught fire in the sea has not yet been established. ASTRA geolocated the published footage and calculated: the distance from the burning object to the shore - about 5 km, to "Putin's palace" - about 17.5 km.
Last year, on the night of August 28, due to the fall of debris from a downed drone in the Krasnodar region broke out a strong forest fire, which was extinguished for four days. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the area of the fire then amounted to 17 hectares (170 thousand square meters). As specified by "Agency", the forest was burning about 10 km in a straight line from Cape Idokopas - where Vladimir Putin's "palace" is located.
"Putin's Palace" is a 17.7 thousand square meters building on the Black Sea coast, 20 km from Gelendzhik. According to Alexei Navalny's investigation, the complex includes a restaurant, a helipad, an ice palace, a church, an amphitheater, a guest house, a gas station and an 80-meter bridge. Inside the main building there is a swimming pool with aquadisco, a spa center, saunas, Turkish baths, own meat and fish, vegetable and dessert shops, a storehouse of therapeutic mud, a library, a music lounge, a hookah lounge, a theater, a cinema, a wine cellar and even a casino. A no-fly zone has been established over the territory, and the adjacent 7,000 hectares, according to the investigation, belong to the FSB. The FBK movie claimed that at least 100 billion rubles were spent on the construction, and the building itself is the largest private residential building in Russia.
