Pontoon crossings are slowing down the movement of Russian military convoys.

After the Ukrainian Armed Forces severely damaged the bridges at the entrance to Crimea from the Kherson region, Russian occupiers set up pontoon crossings nearby. However, this only partially solves their problem while creating an additional danger. Military analyst Clément Molen writes about this on social media.

The expert comments on satellite images published by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, which show the appearance of pontoons at Chongar and near Armiansk.

He emphasizes that these two bottlenecks between occupied Crimea and the Kherson region significantly complicate any logistics.

“We will likely soon see Ukraine establish fire control over key roads leading into Crimea,” Molen added.
