The response to aggression will be devastating.
The Commander of the German Air Force Holger Neumann stated that, in the event of an armed conflict with the Russian Federation, NATO forces could carry out strikes against military targets on Russian territory. In an interview The Telegraph, he noted that potential targets could include facilities in the Kaliningrad region, on the Kola Peninsula, in the St. Petersburg area, as well as in the Black Sea. According to Neumann, Germany is ready to participate in combat operations “as early as tonight.”

The Air Force chief touched on the increasingly heated debate in Europe over whether it is prepared to go to war with Russia to defend smaller allies on NATO’s eastern flank.
Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, along with Poland, have faced an escalation of Russian aggression in recent months, including drone attacks that Western officials fear could be a prelude to an invasion.
Any NATO defensive response to a Russian attack would be devastating, as it would mean “32 against X,” the Air Force chief said, referring to the 32 air forces of the Alliance countries.
