Activist Viktor Klimus Was Detained At An Airport In Armenia

Human rights activists have learned of this.

Belarusian activist Viktor Klimus was detained at the airport in Yerevan, according to the human rights center “Viasna.”

In 2021, he moved from Belarus to Poland. He flew to Armenia on business. As human rights activists note, Armenian border guards told him that his name was on an international wanted list.

Viktor is from Brest and serves as the director of the “Gruntownia” cultural center; in 2020, he organized musical accompaniment for protest rallies.
