It was proposed that the meeting be held with the participation of leaders from the U.S. and the EU.

Ukraine has requested a face-to-face meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin during the G7 summit. Zelenskyy himself announced this, according to Reuters.

It is noted that the meeting was proposed to be held with the participation of the leaders of the United States and the European Union.

“Trump (U.S. President Donald Trump, – ed.) and Macron (French President Emmanuel Macron, – ed.) will be present, that is, the Europeans plus America. This is a good opportunity for everyone to meet together,” Zelenskyy said.

However, according to the president, Russia has once again demonstrated that it is not ready for dialogue on ending the war.

According to the president, the U.S. agreed to invite Putin to a meeting that was supposed to begin this past Monday. The Ukrainian official also stated that Zelenskyy had conveyed this proposal to French President Macron. In addition, Ukraine sent the invitation directly to its Russian counterparts. However, no clear response has been received.
