The U.S. President assessed his recent conversations with Zelenskyy and Putin.
Following the end of the war with Iran, the U.S. has shifted its focus to achieving peace between Ukraine and Russia.
U.S. President Donald Trump made this statement during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
According to Trump, yesterday, June 14, he had very good phone conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
“I think we might be able to do something about this issue (achieving peace—ed.). We really can. I think they’re both open to it. Now that this is over (referring to the war with Iran—ed.), we’ll focus on this and see if we can see it through,” the president emphasized.
According to him, every month in Russia’s war against Ukraine, “25,000 people are dying,” mostly soldiers, and this “should not be happening.”
