Russians Have Realized That Putin Is Losing

Zelenskyy cited the number of Russians who want to end the war.
More than half of Russian citizens want the war against Ukraine to end. They see that Russia is not winning on the battlefield.
According to "RBC-Ukraine", Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an online address at the Reuters Next summit.
According to Zelenskyy, at the G7 summit in France, he discussed the situation on the front lines and possible negotiations with the Russians with other leaders. Issues such as missile strikes, long-range weapons, Russian casualties, and the economy were also raised.
“The good news, first and foremost, is that yes, Putin (Russian dictator Vladimir Putin—Ed.) must stop this war. And on this issue, I have the unanimous support of all EU leaders and presidents. We were united in the view that Russia is not winning, is suffering heavy casualties, and must reach an agreement as soon as possible. The initiative is not in its hands,” he added.
The president noted that many people around Putin are pushing him toward a new large-scale mobilization, regardless of the losses and how many people will die. The Kremlin isn’t thinking about that.
“But there’s a large percentage of Russians who understand this. They’re now beginning to realize that they’re not winning this war, and that’s exactly why it needs to be stopped. Yes, I’m not sure that’s really a humanitarian reason, because if you’re suffering heavy losses, then the war needs to be stopped... More than 60% of the Russian public wants to stop this war. That is precisely why we need to put more pressure on Putin,” said the President of Ukraine.
